Sport Teams
As a member of MedSoc, you also have the opportunity to be a part of one of our sports teams! These allow you to meet students across all five years and play at a time that suits everyone. Read below to find out about each team...
MedSoc Netball
Heya! We are the medic netball team. We encourage all abilities to join us, even if you have no experience.
We play a variety of social games and take part in the c league.
This year we have plenty of socials to come, both sober and nights out.
Feel free to join our team at any point through the year :)
MedSoc Football
We don't need a peer reviewed journal article to show us the importance of exercise, and MedSoc football is the perfect outlet! A great way to make new friends within the medical school and to let off some steam, regardless of your skillset. It can be difficult for first years to get to know students in other years but we may just have the answer for you. Everybody is welcome to join this society where nobody takes themselves too seriously.

MedSoc Hockey
Hey we’re Lancaster MedSoc’s newest sport society - Hockey! Join us for a chilled training 5-6 on a Sunday at the uni pitches! Whether you have never played before or are a seasoned pro, we would love to have you! We hope to have some local matches throughout the year as well as the national MedSoc competition! We have plenty of sticks so brush off your trainers and shin pads and come down!
MedSoc Dance
Hi we are LU MedSoc Dance society!
We meet on Saturdays for dance classes and we do several different styles of dance. We always have a good laugh and you don’t need to have any training in dance to come along. If you enjoy dancing please come and join us!
We also have socials (both night out & night in style), where you can get to know other medics!
